About me

I work in high-complexity oncological surgery, mainly the surgery of peritoneal carcinomatosis.

Since 1995 I have directed the Hepatobiliary Surgery and Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Unit at the Centre de Lutte contre le Cancer de Montpellier (ICM), being responsible for surgeries for liver tumors, peritoneal carcinomatosis, and abdominal sarcomas. I also serve as scientific coordinator of SIRIC-Montpellier for peritoneal carcinomatosis.

I treat patients with advanced peritoneal disease and with liver disease, and I also perform oncovascular surgery.

Consultation and second opinion

Dr. François Quenet heads the Surgical Oncology Department at Quenet Torrent Institute in Barcelona and reviews peritoneal carcinomatosis cases, including second opinions on the indication for cytoreduction and HIPEC, based on the clinical documentation.

Format: in-person consultation in Barcelona and remote assessment. Travel is not required at the first stage.
Consultation languages: Catalan, Spanish, English and French.
Response time: the medical board reviews the clinical documentation within 48 hours.
Documents required: recent contrast CT, abdominal MRI if available, PET-CT, pathology reports, blood test with tumour markers and the latest report from the treating oncologist.
