Dr. Patricia Tejedor
About Me
Dr. Patricia Tejedor is a surgeon specializing in General Surgery and Digestive System, with a Doctorate in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Outstanding Cum Laude). She currently works as a Consultant Surgeon at the Gregorio Marañón University General Hospital and is an Associate Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.
Her clinical practice focuses on advanced colorectal surgery, treatment of diverticular disease, colorectal cancer, and robotic surgery. She systematically integrates minimally invasive techniques, 3D surgical planning, and perioperative optimization to improve clinical outcomes and patients' quality of life.
She has an intensive research activity and is Principal Investigator of multiple international multicenter studies, including the ADiFAS study on acute diverticulitis with free pericolic gas and the PROCaRe study on quality of life in rectal cancer. She has published more than 90 scientific articles in high-impact international journals and is a member of the editorial board of the British Journal of Surgery.
